Sheila’s experience as a labor and delivery nurse and mom of 3 helped me to understand exactly what to expect and put my mind at ease. I had taken a few other classes before and felt like I learned so much more during this class compared to others. I would highly recommend Special Delivery to all expecting moms!

The women behind special delivery NY are kind, patient, and very knowledgeable of all things baby. Their course left my husband and I feeling calm and confident for the birth of our first child. We didn’t exactly have a birth plan in place and because of special delivery NY we had a solid understanding of a variety of methods and interventions being proposed to us to help deliver our daughter safely. If you’re considering a birth education class, these are the ladies to work with! The knowledge they have to share will leave you feeling empowered throughout your childbirth experience

“It was great to be able to do a birth class from home via zoom! Between working and summer plans I don’t think I would have gone to an in person class. I feel more informed and less anxious about what to expect during birth and because Emily is a nurse at the hospital I am going to deliver at she was able to provide inside scoop to things like how long I can expect to wait for an epidural on a good vs busy day (important info for those of us planning to get an epidural).”

We had an excellent birthing class thanks to Sheila of Special Delivery NY. With this being my first pregnancy, I was feeling unprepared about what to expect in the hospital, but after taking the class I felt much more at ease knowing exactly what would happen once I entered the hospital. I was well informed about the birthing process as well as what to expect postpartum. I would highly recommend Special Delivery to anyone looking for a birthing class!

Both birthing classes and both instructors were extremely engaging, informative and used terminology that new moms could actually understand. Sheila and Emily were amazing! They were patient, encouraged any and all questions, and thoroughly explained how the birthing process works using easy to follow videos and slides. This really gave my partner and I a much better understanding of what to expect. Highly recommend!
